This disclosure explains in simple words the essential points regarding the data we gather on you, the reasons why we handle your personal data and your rights in relation to the provided data.

Purpose of data collection

BID will use your data exclusively for the following purposes:

1. Personnel recruitment purposes

  • Conduction of the personnel recruitment activity with the purpose of the eventual establishment of an employment relationship, including for eventual positions different from the original position you applied for;
  • Processing through artificial intelligence algorithms of the applications in response to the job offerings published on our website ( or through third-party job offering portals (i.e. LinkedIn)
  • Given your consent, we can acquire references from subjects referred by you;
  • Purposes related to the establishment, handling and termination of contractual relations (i.e. fulfilment of accounting, salary, social security, welfare and fiscal obligations);
  • Fruition of specific permits, absences and benefits related to the maintenance of the employment relationship;
  • Compliance with legal obligations and regulations (i.e. for purposes related to preventative medicine, occupational health, antiterrorism measures etc.);
  • Handling of legal disputes

2. Marketing Purposes

With your specific consent your personal information with be used for the following purposes:

  • commercial information;
  • marketing;
  • Communication of advertising/informative/promotional materials, likewise in relation to programs and promotions on or offline;
  • Informative communications on eventual BID activities and events in which BID takes part

We will not use your personal data for purposes different from the ones described above, if not by informing you beforehand and, where necessary, obtaining your consent.

Treatment of particular information

BID does not, in any way, treat particular information.

Usage of personal data

BID aims at protecting the personal information it is trusted with, basing their treatment on principles of correctness, lawfulness and transparency. Therefore, we inform you that your personal data will be treated using tools and procedures suitable to guarantee the maximal security and privacy, through paper-based archives and with the aid of digital formats.

The communications laid out in paragraph 2), namely communications with marketing purposes, can happen either by traditional means (i.e. through paper-based mail or phone) or by automated systems (i.e. fax, e-mail, sms, mms).

Nevertheless, you are entitled to exercise the right to object which, if not specified explicitly, will refer to both traditional and automated means of contact.

Your personal data will be conserved, starting from its origination/update, for a maximum of 24 months in the case of application handling (unless otherwise decided by law), after which they will be deleted or rendered anonymous.

In case an employment relationship is established, your personal information will be conserved, starting from its origination, for a reasonable period of time in compliance with the treatment purposes laid down above, after which it will be deleted or rendered anonymous.

Your personal data is not subject to distribution.

Notwithstanding communications made in fulfilment of contractual and legal obligations, by which your personal information can be distributed in Italy or abroad exclusively for the abovementioned purposes to companies or professional firms that will process your data for business related purposes only.

Furthermore, in the process of handling it, your personal data con be exposed to the following categories of employees and/or internal and external officials:

  • Human Resources;
  • Officials and employees of the data processing firm.


In relation to the same data, you can exercise the following rights specifically indicated in EU Regulation n. 679/2016:

  • Article 15 – Right to Access: You have the right to obtain from the controller confirmation as to whether personal data concerning you are being processed, and, where that is the case, access to the personal data and related information;
  • Article 16 – Right to rectification: You have the right to obtain from the controller without undue delay the rectification of inaccurate personal data concerning you. Considering the purposes of the processing, you have the right to have incomplete personal data completed, including by means of providing a supplementary statement;
  • Article 17 – Right to erasure: You have the right to obtain from the controller the erasure of personal data concerning you without undue delay;
  • Article 18 – Right to restriction of processing: You have the right to obtain from the controller restriction of processing where one of the specified conditions applies;
  • Article 20 – Right to data portability: You have the right to receive the personal data concerning you, in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format;
  • Article 21 – Right to object: You have the right to object to the treatment of your personal data in conformity to the specified conditions;

You have the right to receive indications on the origin, purposes and modalities of treatment of your personal data, on the applied logic in case of treatment through electronic tools, on the identification details of the owner ,responsible figures and designated representative of the subjects or categories of subjects to which your personal information may have been distributed or that can come in contact with it in quality of designated representative in the State territory, of responsible figure or of person in charge.

Withdrawal of consent

It will be possible to withdraw your consent in any moment, without it affecting in anyway:

  • the lawfulness of the treatment based on the consent given before the withdrawal;
  • Any ensuing treatment of the data justified on legal grounds (i.e. contractual obligations or legal obligations BID is subject to).


DPO – Data protection officer


BID Company LLC (BID) has appointed, identifying him internally, the “Data Protection Officer (DPO)”, in accordance to article 37 of EU Regulation 2016/679.

The Data Protection Officer is a new figure whose role consists in monitoring compliance with the Regulation, evaluating risks for concerned parties ( i.e. clients, potential clients, employees, suppliers), of any handling of personal information carried out by BID. Provides support to BID in informing employees regarding obligations originating from the Regulation, and other data protection provisions. Cooperates with the Data Protection Authority and the contact person, for BID, for any matters related to personal data handling.
